Nani refers to the mango trees in this video. It is not a commercial variety. The fruit are small, have a lot of fiber, and taste like papaya.

The seed was dehusked and put in a 6” pot, tail just protruding above the soil, with a mix of big box potting mix and coconut core while a hole was prepared.  The pot was placed under shade cloth outside.

Moved the seed from the pot to a hole 2’ wide and 2’ deep where the backfill  was amended with ~50% compost. The seed had ⅛ inch of growth. It was planted with its tail just protruding above the soil on a slight mound about 3” tall. The core/potting soil mix from the pot was placed in a well in the center of the mound.
