Bought this papaya from a Stater Bros in Palm Springs, CA. I left it on the counter to ripen.

2022 October 31

The papaya had turned almost all yellow and became soft so we cut it open. It tasted much better than many I’ve had from the store. I removed the sacs of juice from the seeds by rubbing them firmly in a rag. I rinsed them and then dried the seeds in a dehydrator then stored them in a plastic bag.

2022 March 5

Planted seeds in the yard.

2023 April 23

The seeds planted in March didn’t come up. I probably didn’t keep them moist. I planted new seeds in the same place.

2023 July

None of these seeds made it.
