I had a dried baja passion fruit with seeds in it that was given to me last year fresh off the vine. I planted the seeds in big box store potting mix in a six pack and a few of them came up after a week or so. Today I planted two of the sprouts out in the yard.

One of the transplants is doing well. I also planted some seeds directly in the ground and they eventually sprouted too
