I bought a “starter” size surinam cherry in a 2″ x 8″ black plastic sleeve from Tropica Mango.

I planted it in the front yard. I didn’t amend the soil. I dug a hole big enough for the root ball. After back filling I put 6 inches plus of mulch around it.

2023 July 8

One day this plant was looking good and the next it was crispy 😦 I’m not sure what happened. Perhaps it was that the weather suddenly went from the 90’s to 110’s and there wasn’t enough shade or water.
