Reported to be a reliable method.[1]
Root Cuttings
Cut a piece of root out and pot it up and wait for it to sprout. The top of the root should be exposed to light.[1]
Soft Wood Cuttings
Cuttings are notoriously difficult to root.[1] But this method might have merit.
TFF member reports a 100% success rate by taking the green/soft wood cuttings from the base of the plant. The cuttings are always tiny. Scratching them up at the cut end and then put them in some coco-coir after dipping in powdered rooting hormone. I then place under LED lights with a plastic cover on top of my tray to conserve humidity. It gets very moist inside the cover but I haven’t had any issue with mold. It takes at least 1-2 months to root. The environment around the cuttings was keep in the high 60s F.R
