I brought home some seeds from a guava that Doug Jones had brought to the CRFG meeting. I removed as much pulp as I could and put them in a glass of water.

2024 March 17

I took the seeds out of the water and put them into a wet paper towel in a zipplock bag. I put the bag on a heat mat set to 77F and put a light with a timer set to run 10 hours a day over the bag.

2024 April 1

I noticed that the seeds had started to germinate. I potted 7 seeds in clear 24oz takeout cups filled with 1/4 inch minus cinder sand, and kept them inside waiting for them to sprout.

Several of the potted seeds are sprouting.
