Passion Fruit (variety: Frederick)

Planted a Frederick passion fruit I got from Dan at Tropical Concept Nursery.

2021 July 7

The leaves have been turning progressively more light colored. Shamus O’Leary said the first things to investigate are too much heat and too much water. I’m removing the plant from the irrigation system and watering by hand on the off weeks from the flood irrigation so it gets water once a week.

2022 September 17

Applied 4 cups of Tony’s Magic Mix.

2022 September 18

Foliar fed iron chelate at a rate of 0.7g iron per gallon of water (1.5 tsp of 0.11% iron chelate mixed in a quart of water).

2022 October 6

Foliar fed 2.3g of 13% manganese chelate in 1 quart of water at 6:30a (sunrise)

2022 October 10

Foliar fed Greenlife’s foliar feed mixed 1 tablespoon per gallon plus a little bit of Soil Fertility Accelerator at 6:15am. I also applied SFA to the soil and watered it in.

2023 May 13

I got 1 flower a couple weeks ago and it didn’t set fruit. Today I fertilized with 11 1/4 oz of a cheap synthetic 10-10-10 fertilizer.
