2023 October 9

I used a 55 gallon barrel cut up so that it is only a cage. Lined it with woven landscape fabric. And put it on a pallet, also lined with woven landscape fabric. I put a 4 inch ABS pipe standing up in the middle of the barrel so that it was directly over a 3 inch diameter hole in the pallet. I then filled the barrel with grass clippings that I dried to completely brown and then reweted just before filling.

I used 16 2 GPH flag emitters and 2 blue spot spitters in a 6 inch square configuration that is just a little bigger than the ABS pipe. This irrigation setup is scheduled to run for 1 minute per day.

I pulled the pipe out of the wet grass and folded the landscape fabric over the top of the barrel to cover it.
